Class IV Medical Grade Laser Therapy

Painless, medication free, effective pain relief.

Benefits of Laser Therapy

  • Reduce pain
  • Reduce inflammation
  • Increased healing

Conditions treated with Laser Therapy

  • Neck, thoracic and lower back pain
  • Bursitis
  • Hip, knee and ankle pain
  • Shoulder elbow and wrist pain
  • Arthritis
  • Post surgery pain and restriction

During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.

During Laser Therapy, infrared laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level increasing metabolic activity within the cell. By improving the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane, the increased production of cellular energy (ATP) is stimulated. The cascade of beneficial effects that follows includes increased cellular function and tissue repair.

How long will a session last?

You can expect your initial session to be around 30-40 minutes, as our Chiropractor will go through a thorough history and assessment to ensure you are a good candidate for Laser Therapy. Subsequent visits will be approximately 10 minutes. We use a top of the line Class IV medical grade laser that delivers powerful therapy in less time.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions is related to the nature of your condition:
Acute: 4-6 times may be sufficient
Chronic problems: 6-12
Long term: Periodic care

Does it hurt?

No! There is almost no sensation during treatments. Some people do feel a mild warm sensation.

Is it expensive?

We aim to make your care as affordable as possible. A stand-alone laser session is $65, and you can combine it with a spinal adjustment for a small additional fee.

What should I wear to the session?

Comfortable clothing that allows access to the area that requires treatment. Client gowns are also available to provide privacy for harder-to-access areas.

Is Laser Therapy covered by my private health insurance or my DVA card?

DVA – We accept DVA Health Cards (Gold and White) as payment upon a GP referral.
Private health insurance – If your health fund covers you for extras/allied health, you likely will be covered. Call us on (02) 9526-7633 for more information.

Has the effectiveness of Laser Therapy been scientifically established?

Yes, thousands of studies have been published. More than a hundred of them are rigorously controlled scientific studies.

Are there any side effects?

After over 20 years of use by practitioners around the globe, there have been few side effects reported. On rare occasions, some previous injuries may feel aggravated for a day or two, as the healing process is more active after a treatment.
